A New Safety Feature Arrives With The 2020 Subaru Forester

The redesign of the Subaru Forester last year brought new advanced safety features, improved performance, increased interior space, and a bold new look. Just one year after the all-new Forester arrived the 2020 Subaru Forester has a new standard safety feature that you will want to know about.

Safety has always been something that Subaru has always excelled at and also shouldn't be an option. Which is why the highly awarded EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard on every 2020 Forester to keep you and your precious cargo safe. There is now another standard safety feature to make sure that children and pets are not forgotten or entrapped in the Forester. Subaru's Rear Seat Reminder will alert the driver if one of the following conditions is met:

  • If the Forester is started within 30 minutes after a rear side door is opened and closed
  • If a rear side door is opened and closed when the vehicle is running and stationary
  • When the Forester is turned off and back on again within 30 minutes and the rear side doors remained closed.

In addition to all of the standard safety features that the Forester has several other advanced safety features; many of which are not available on top competitors. Subaru DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System monitors the driver for signs for distracted or drowsy driving and will use audible and visual alerts to notify the driver to take a break or to bring their attention back to the road ahead. LED Steering Responsive Headlights is another safety feature of the Forester that Yonkers drivers will love. And in the event of a collision, Subaru STARLINK Safety & Security will send for emergency responders with Automatic Collision Notification.
